This Chácara bag is handmade and used by the Ngäbe-Buglé people from Panama's highland Chiriqui region. Natural palm and/or wild pineapple fibers called “pita” are used to make this bag. The color dyes are extracted from plants, bark, berries, and flowers.

The Chacara Bag is used on a daily basis by the Ngäbe-Buglé men, women and children. These bags are extremely sturdy and can stretch beyond their actual size.
